FCT's operations, governed in each three-year period by the strategy outlined by the Board, must be framed by annual or biannual management objectives, which translate into concrete operational objectives for each department, each functional structure linked to departments, services, etc.
The strategy of the FCT Board is essentially based on:
- Continuing to streamline the courses available - following the evolution of the national quality indicators of the courses and implementing any necessary improvements; guiding the streamlining towards increasing the Faculty's internationalisation.
- Improving the quality of courses - following the improvements in the quality system of the FCT itself - in teacher/student relationships, in the provision of content in tutoring, etc. - and seeking to ensure that the courses provided respond to the need to provide relevant and innovative courses, that is, that they cover subjects that accompany and anticipate the evolution of society itself.
- Improving the relationship between research centres and the Faculty - deepening the relationship between the research of excellence developed in the centres and the courses provided by the Faculty.
- Improving the relationship between various bodies and entities within the Faculty - increasing the opportunities for exchanging and sharing information, horizontally and vertically.
