UAlg in Rankings
The university stands out internationally in several rankings.
The University of Algarve participates in several rankings because it considers that they can be an important assessment tool, helping to assess the quality of teaching and research and to understand how UAlg is positioned in relation to other higher education institutions in Portugal and around the world.
The results obtained are important for the university’s process of development and continuous quality improvement, and are also relevant for potential applicants from Portugal and abroad, who wish to continue their studies in higher education, or undertake a period of studies on an international mobility scheme.
In the Times Higher Education Rankings 2022, UAlg ranks as the best Portuguese university in terms of international projection.

UAlg appears in the top 5.9% worldwide, standing out in 7th place at a national level.
