The Governing Board of the Alliance “European University of the Seas” (SEA-EU) composed of the Universities of Cadiz (Spain), Western Brittany (Brest, France), Kiel (Germany), Gdansk (Poland), Split (Croatia), Malta, Parthenope-Naples (Italy), Algarve (Portugal) and Nord (Norway) would like to express its support and solidarity to the people of Ukraine and its academic institutions in these difficult times.
As a European University Alliance which proclaims in its Mission Statement the validity of European values such as human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, we condemn the aggression initiated by Russia on the territory of Ukraine.
The European University of the Seas and its partner Universities will cooperate in every possible way to redress this situation and to minimise the effects of this aggression on the academic communities and on the population of Ukraine.
