This course is being run by Marion Furr, OMF teacher, between January and March and will last for eight weeks. It will qualify the participants to attend the "12 Month Foundational Teacher Training" course, promoted by OMF, with which they will obtain a Mindfulness Trained Teacher Certificate.

This initiative is part of the perspective of promoting research and education in mindfulness in Portugal, through OMF, world leader in mindfulness.

In the same sense, a protocol was established between UAlg and "Conhecer-Se - Associação de Crescimento Pessoal", based on which a six-day "Silence Retreat" was recently organised with the facilitator Karunavira, from Bangor University.

The curricular unit "Positive Education and Mindfulness" was also proposed at FCHS by Professors Saúl de Jesus and Cláudia Carmo, to be taught from the next academic year to the various master's degree courses in Psychology and Educational Sciences.
